The Mathematics of America

In the eighteenth centuries, philosophers began to espouse a bizarre idea:  society should be based on reason, evidence, and logic.

The United States of America was the direct result.  The Declaration of Independence is a mathematical document, beginning with a set of axioms (“We hold these truths to be self evident…”), from which it is deduced that it is necessary for England and America to go their separate ways.

The Founding Fathers believed in the supremacy of reason, evidence, and logic.  When we abandon them, we abandon the very heart of America.
